Contest Entry Ref: Nero + Hulimon

"Pre-entry" for the contest, to design an Agent

(and I promise, this is the last you'll see of Hulimon for a while!)

I told you you'd see this digimon before too long for a non-re:CON thing~

I'll link to this ref once I do my actual entry, but I just wanted to get it up here~.
(Nero's hair can literally be any colour, he doesn't like to keep it the same for too long, lololo. It's just pink here because SOMEONE demanded it.)

A city boy through and through, Nero lived most of his life in Korea with his (exceedingly) wealthy mother and father, who were involved in and with politics-- and were a bit of political big-wigs themselves.
He always got everything he asked for, and he always got the best. For this reason, there are some that suspect his parents bought Nero's way into his position. This is, surprisingly to some, not the case. Nero and Hulimon as a pair were recruited into Arch Angel because of the efficiency with which they work together... ... in combat. When off the "job", Nero and Hulimon are at eachother's throats with constant insults, jabs, sarcasm, and throwing out windows. Regardless, they really do love each-other, and are totally inseparable.
(They were, however, transferred into Arch Angel because of his parent's government influence-- this may have given rise to the "he bought his way in" theory.)

On his own, Nero is personable, though very vain and a bit shallow. Even when wearing his Agent suit he tends to personalize in some way, wearing scarves and other accessories, while out of his suit he dresses very colourfully, even flamboyantly-- some other Arch Angel employees call him "Peacock". He acts very shallow and... for lack of a better word, blonde, but when he applies himself he is quite intelligent. The key is "when he applies himself", as his plush upbringing made him a bit... lazy.

Nero met Hulimon back in Neo Seoul, where the little digimon was skulking about in a store to search for interesting things to collect (steal); Nero immediately grabbed a baseball bat and smacked the little fox straight into a bike display.
They've been the best of (vitriolic) buddies ever since.

He is surprisingly competent-- not just for how well he works with Hulimon in battle, but also because he's the kind of guy who will throw his pasty body into the fray himself, preferring to fight with shorter-range weapons (especially his stun-rod) if at all possible.

Trivia:
-Nero has a little tattoo of a black five-pointed star on his left cheekbone, just under his eye.
-He has four piercings on his body-- once in his left ear, twice in his right, and once in his left eyebrow.
-His most prized "possession" -- really, possessions -- is his walk-in closet, full of designer clothing and accessories of all sorts.
-When Hulimon is annoying him or needs to be transported somewhere, he will sometimes stuff his partner into the fox's own magical bag instead of into his D-Drive.
-His hair is naturally black, but he bleaches and dyes it often, with some colours less... natural than others. Hulimon likes to mix up his dyes, leading to weeks when he'll come into work with pink, lime-green, or vivid orange hair.

Hulimon is a sarcastic, snarky, tricky little prankster. He loves getting a rise out of people, especially his partner Nero. He gives Nero a non-stop litany of crap, but he would go to the ends of the earth to defend him-- and then make jokes about his sexuality and steal his undergarments in the aftermath.

He does not trust easily, but can be easily swayed by food or pretty gifts. His bag, in which he stores everything he collects, is the second-most important thing in the world to him (after Nero, but don't let anyone know about that), and it is actually larger on the inside than it is on the outside-- it has about the storage capacity of a medium-sized closet. Needless to say, it's a total mess-- good luck getting anything back once he puts it in, and not just because he'll refuse to give anything back once it's his.

He met Nero by being smacked into a bike display-- he immediately took this to mean that the boy was a fiesty sort who deserved his attention, and though they fight on a near-constant basis, they're like brothers. Once he was taken into the Kwon family, he, like Nero, got anything he asked for-- treated like a second son-- and so he can be a bit of a brat when he doesn't get his way!

seriously though, if they had a duet song, it would be this. They are the epitome of vitriolic best buds.
